On Thursday, March 6th, our debate team proudly competed in the final of the Concern Primary Debating Competition! Reaching the top two teams across Kildare and West Wicklow was an incredible achievement for these talented girls.
The final was held in Kildare County Chambers, Naas, where our team faced St. Patrick’s N.S. in a highly competitive debate. They passionately proposed the motion, ‘Cities are essential to tackling climate change.’ After a closely contested battle, St. Patrick’s N.S. emerged as the winners.
Although victory wasn’t ours this time, we are immensely proud of our debaters and their dedicated mentors, Ms. Banks and Ms. Costello. Their hard work, commitment, and enthusiasm throughout the competition were truly commendable. Well done to all involved!
