Caterpillars for 1st Class!

The last few weeks, 1st class have had the chance to watch caterpillars grow & transform on their journey to becoming butterflies! There has been great excitement each morning, observing & discussing their growth and movement. We have watched in awe at how quickly they have grown & even formed their chrysalides within a number of weeks! This has linked in really well with previous lessons in SESE about the lifecycle of a butterfly. We even had the opportunity to integrate this lifecycle into our procedure writing in English.

The caterpillars are currently snug in their chrysalides for Easter, I will post updates over Easter of their progress!
