On Thursday 17/01/2019, six girls from sixth class travelled to Caragh National School to take part in the first round of the Concern Primary Debating Competition organised by Kildare Education Centre. They were opposing the motion 'People should be fined for not recycling.' Maura Ennis was the captain, Kate Byrne was speaker two and Libby Fallon was speaker three. The girls performed brilliantly and despite the tough opposition they won the debate. Emma Keenan, Ciara Dunne and Ellen Adlum will debate in the next round of the competion. They will be opposing the motion 'Ireland should do away with cars.' Well done girls!
