History of Rathangan

Rathangan gets its name from 'Iomgháins Rath', the remains of which still can be seen at the top of the town. Throughout the years, the town has been shaped by many influences and events such as the 1798 Rebellion, the Grand Canal and Bórd na Móna. Click here for more information.

Active Schools

This year Bunscoil Bhríde will be working towards achieving our second Active Schools flag. Bearing in mind that it is recommended that all children should be taking part in moderate to vigorous exercise for sixty minutes every day, the Active schools committee has come up with lots of good ideas to encourage us all to be more active. Click here for more information.
