On Friday the 8th of June 2018, 6th Class held a bake sale to raise money for the purchase of special graduation t-shirts for the class, which will bear the school name and the signatures of all pupils in the class. The balance of the money raised will go towards Cystic Fibrosis Ireland, a very worthy cause which 6th Class learned about in recent weeks.
Each class from Junior Infants to Fifth Class had the opportunity to come to the bake sale and purchase some delicious treats. There were also a variety of games and activities on offer, including ‘Hook a Duck’, ‘Guess the Teddy’s Name’, ‘Bean Bag Toss’, ‘How Many Marbles are in the Jar?’ and ‘Pegging Pandemonium!’. Pupils and teachers alike had great fun trying to beat the clock, personal records and of course each other’s scores!
6th Class are very grateful to all the families who baked and bought a delicious selection of cakes, biscuits, buns and other tempting treats, all of which enhanced this wonderful occasion. Thanks to everyone who supported their endeavours to raise enough money for their special graduation t-shirts and Cystic Fibrosis Ireland- they raised a whopping €343.35 in total! Your kindness and generosity are as always hugely appreciated. Go raibh míle maith agaibh!
